Samsung has worked hard to secure deals with virtually all major carriers worldwide and they are offering the Galaxy Tab at a lower subsidized price (some even for free) if you are willing to sign a contract. Now given the fact that you are likely to need a new plan for the Tab anyway if your carrier of choice got it, those are probably no-brainers and you can safely disregard all our remarks about the pricing.

Samsung Galaxy Tab Now Available In Germany
This informations from nexus404.com
While we have been trying to sort out all the Galaxy Tab related rumors here in the US, it seems as if the Android tablet has come available for those in Germany. Though, a few words of caution. The price is a bit on the high side, and there does not seem to be anywhere to make the purchase as of now.
But those minor details aside, the Galaxy Tab is available in Germany — according to Samsung. The news is coming by way of a press release, which was dated for yesterday and somehow must have gotten lost in the mix of the Windows Phone 7 craziness. Anyway, according to the details given, the Galaxy Tab is available with a suggested retail price of 799 Euros. And for those who are not as familiar with the Euro, that means a price tag of just over $1,100 in terms of US dollars.
Though the shiny side of the price comes in with the fact that is for a SIM free and unlocked version. In other words, no contract attached. Still, it is a bit on the high side, especially when compared to that of the iPad.
Otherwise, the release goes on to cover the features and specs, but fails to mention any retailers or carriers that are available for purchasing. Nicely though, the version of the Galaxy Tab that is available in Germany will allow for voice calls. Which for those in the US, that is not something you will be getting. Of course, given the thought of someone walking around with a 7 inch tablet to their ear, that may not be an entirely bad thing.
Personally I am excited about a potential nice Android tablet, and one that is running Android 2.2 at that. Nonetheless, I am still turned off by the pricing that we have seen so far. Both official and rumored, both on-contract and off-contract.

You mention none of Candidate 1′s downsides, nor do you mention any of Candidate 2′s upside. I’d have to look into it further, and I’d fire you for doing a poor job profiling the candidates for me.
